MIDDLE SCHOOL

It is between the age of 11 - 13 that children get a more realistic sense of the world. A time when they can be most sensitive and aware of environmental cues, we adequately expose each student to the world they live in while we put their unique ideas on display.

Our Middle School curriculum is structured to assist all students with a successful transition from elementary to high school, from child to young adult, and from dependent to independent learner. At this level, skill and concept building are the main objectives, keeping in mind the different Boards the students will eventually take.

Academics

In Middle School, students can dwell in more segregated subjects with the help of teachers who are experts in their field. General Science becomes more detailed as Physics, Chemistry and Biology and Social Science become more specialized as History-Civics and Geography. English, Hindi / Kannada, and Computer Science are continued to be taught.

In Class 6, students are taught to handle more significant subjects than what they tackled in Primary school. Classes 7 and 8(ICSE) expose them to a more definite assessment method to prepare them for Board Exams. Internal assessments done are periodically evaluated to see the performance of the child.

Extra-Curricular Activity

At Carmel High School, extra-curriculum activities are considered an important part of a child’s overall growth. Our activities seek to provide our children a window for them to discover their talents and interests. Students are encouraged and trained to participate in multiple competitive events throughout the year by our qualified teachers.

The list of events includes Sports, Music & Arts, Cultural activities like folk dances, skits, singing, intraclass debates, and many more. Our clubs are created and designed to channel our students’ enthusiasm for various fields. We have the Eco Club, Mind Spark- for fun-based learning of English and mathematics, Sports Clubs, etc. We also encourage early education in robotics and yoga sessions for our children.

Methodology

At Carmel High School, we believe in providing an integrated traditional and adaptive teaching methodology with individual attention given to all our students. With the advent of technology-based teaching and learning, we have adapted and transformed our educating process to be more interactive and learning to be more interesting.

We have adopted the latest technologies in teaching, including Virtual Class Rooms by TataClass edge, Digital Workshops, etc. while maintaining the same teacher-student interactive relationship. Experiential learning is our mantra, and each of our students gets to visit historical and industrial sites, take part in rallies, go on educational field trips, and many more other activities that help them apply their learned knowledge to give back to the society.

" Before admitting my child, I consulted many people, most of their opinion about Carmel High School was very clear, and the school has never let it down During the recent Pandemic, the school’s decisions were towards the concern of parents, which I admire. I am very thankful to Mr.Roshan Menezes & his Management Unlike my previous experiences, meeting with Carmel’s school staff happens with ease. The extracurricular activities helped my daughter build her skill and open up to the competitive world. The Mindspark system encouraged my child to solve more problems; it also helped reduce the fear of maths. Joining the Eco-club was her best decision.""
